Payment. By cheque or bank transfer by the end of the following month, please. The due date will be shown on our invoice.

Following-quarter discounts.  Providing all payments due during a calendar quarter reach us on time, each of the following quarter’s invoices will be reduced by:-

• 1% if the previous quarter’s payments exceeded £500 exc. VAT
• 2% if the previous quarter’s payments exceeded £1,500 exc. VAT
• 3% if the previous quarter's payments exceeded £5,000 exc. VAT
• 4% if the previous quarter’s payments exceeded £12,500 exc. VAT
• 5% if the previous quarter’s payments exceeded £25,000 exc. VAT
• 6% if the previous quarter’s payments exceeded £50,000 exc. VAT

Complaints. HLL will invoice you and will investigate any specific complaint you may make. We will withhold payment from the translator either until the problem has been resolved or until we are satisfied you received a good translation. Any complaint about a standard or secure translation should reach us within 14 days of our invoice date.  If you need more time, tell us within 14 days and we will try to agree an extension.  The maximum equivalent notification period for a patent translation is nine months.  HLL will not accept liability for any loss arising from a fault that is not reported within the relevant period.
